Touring/Sampling:Twin Leaf, Hi-Wire and French Broad River Brewery.
This tour meets in Pack Square outside the Asheville Art Museum, which is in the heart of downtown Asheville at the intersection of Patton Avenue and Biltmore Avenue, at 2:45 PM. From there it is a short ride to the South Slope and our first stop Twin Leaf Brewery which keeps regulars coming back for favorites such as the 144 (Code Name: Juicy Fruit), an IPA known for its bright citrus hop aroma. Along with the 144, Twin Leaf offers a wide selection of house beers including the Dark Matter Oatmeal Stout and the White Noise Belgian Wit among others. After Twin Leaf we will leave the South Slope and head down into the Historic Biltmore Village to tour Hi-Wire’s large scale production brewhouse known as the Big Top. This circus themed brewery makes a true year round lager as well as a large variety of ales such as the Hi-Pitch IPA. Hi-Wire has a canning line and conveniently packages their beer in 6 packs for wide distribution. The last brewery of the tour is French Broad River which is one of the oldest breweries in the city. French Broad River Brewery offers World beers with Asheville style such as a German Kolsch, English ESB, American West Coast IPA and the Wee Heavy-Er Scottish Ale. The tour will end with drop off back downtown at the Asheville Art Museum where you’ll have the rest of Beer City at your fingertips!
